Soup Kitchen Volunteers
Volunteering in the dining hall at the St. Vincent de Paul shelter is a great way to interact with your fellow classmates and have a positive impact on the Baton Rouge community. The soup kitchen services a large number of people and the personnel appreciate all the help they can get serving meals to visitors. The work day runs from 11am to 1pm, with time for the volunteers to share a meal together after their shift. It's a perfect study break and a wonderfully rewarding experience.
